QUETTA - Baloch Republic Party (BRP), Baloch Republic Students Organisation (BRSO) and Baloch Human Rights Organisation (BHRO) staged a protest demo in front of Quetta Press Club on the International Human Rights Day against the alleged killings and abduction of Baloch people, here on Monday.
The protesters were holding banners and placards inscribed with various slogans like “stop genocide of Baloch.” Addressing the protesters, the members of these parties stated that besides depriving the Baloch of their national identity, the Baloch youth, old aged, children and women were being whisked away and then their mutilated bullet-riddled bodies were thrown on desolated areas of the Balochistan on daily basis by the security forces.
They further said that security forces had kidnapped 14,000 Baloch people from 2001 till date including a large numbers of women, children and old men and said that from 2010 till to date 600 mutilated bullet-riddled bodies of Baloch had been recovered from the different areas of Balochistan who had allegedly been in custody of security forces. The Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, the Department of American Foreign Affairs, the Commission of Human rights of United Nations, Asian Human Rights Commission and Human Rights Commission of Pakistan have acknowledged the ongoing human rights violation in Balochistan by the security forces, they said. They further said that even knowing that the ongoing human rights violation in Balochistan, the Commission of Human Rights of United Nations has not taken any strong action against the state of Pakistan but only expressed its deep concern over the human rights violation in Balochistan.
The protesters of the demo asked the international organisations of human rights to come forward and stop the alleged ongoing atrocities against the Baloch people.
